Laugh Lines

To laugh:

Let things roll off your back
Don't let a groan follow a laugh--telltale of bitterness. Never flattering
Look for bright spots in the mundane
Make fun--but not beat-up--your beautiful work in progress self
Don't take yourself so seriously

To laugh:

Shows off your incredible smile
Maybe a dimple or two
It makes your eyes sparkle
Laughing means no makeup required

Sure, there may be laugh lines in your future
But they're certainly better than crows feet of worry
Don't look at those candid laughing photos and groan
Smile a little and remember why you laughed
What happiness or hilarity you were experiencing

No laugh is ugly

Bitterness is
Anxiety is a burden sometimes lightened by laughter
A smile and genuine laugh are beautiful
They inspire

Laugh lines later in life?
They tell stories

  1. They do say laughter is the "best medicine." And sometimes, it truly is. It's amazing what a moment of unchecked joy and laughter can do to brighten a day. Fabulous post, Meghan. :)

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of something hot or cold to drink, and enjoy. I love making new friends!
